Dear RR Staff.
As you have read in the church newsletter, moving day is Tuesday, February 16. The movers will begin at 9 a.m. The last day the RR will be open at the current location is Sunday, Feb. 14. (Monday, the 15th, is a legal holiday.)
All bound volumes have been packed in boxes; the storage cabinet opposite the attendant's desk is empty, contents packed away; some inventory from wall panels is packed also. The boxes are not yet sealed but are labeled as to contents--if something is needed. Please write a note on the contents list if something is removed to sell.
If any of you are like me and save "popcorn" from packages received or other packing materials and want to give them to the RR, we're happy to accept them!! Some of the boxes supplied by the movers that contain bound volumes have space at the top. The movers have told us these cartons must be full or they may crush during the move.
If you have some time Presidents' Day, Monday, February 15, please call me (818/881-8067) "last minute" to see if we still have packing to do. We also need help unpacking at the new location beginning Tuesday afternoon (2 p.m.?), all day Wednesday and probably Thursday--even an hour's help would be wonderful! It would be helpful if you could let me know ahead of time approximately when you'll be able to help.
The sign on the door of current RR says we will reopen on Friday, February 19 at the new location. If the unpacking goes fast, perhaps we can open on Thursday--with a Desk Announcement Wednesday evening.
I did not place an order in January. One will be placed 5-6 days before we move, so merchandise should arrive just before we re-open. Yes, the order will include Anthology of Classic Articles ll; MBE Healer, Amplified Edition; Joseph and His Brothers; Noah's Ark; and other items we're low on.
The Lending Library at the new location will be much smaller--so we will be getting rid of books and cassettes. A letter will be sent out by the church next week as to what is available, for what cost, if any. That letter will also include any furnishings that are available for sale.
Post-its on furniture: green, move to new RR; pink, leave/sell/give away; yellow, undecided!
If you have comments or suggestions, please write them on the paper provided in the blue folder on attendant's desk. And do read what others have said!
Change in RR hours: Monday-Friday 9 to 5; Saturday 10-4 (no change); Sunday 12-2 (no change).
Keys: I'll receive my keys to new RR on Thursday. I'll have them copied and numbered ASAP.
Now you know everything I know!
Thank you all for your loving stewardship of our RR.
Barbara

INTO THE DAY - new cd coming!
A new music CD for teens and all ages! Gentle-but-lively, folk-style renditions of nine hymns—from the Christian Science Hymnal as well as the Hymnal Supplement: Hymns 430-462—and two original songs by talented musician-brothers, George and Charles Clements.
Clearly sung with delightful acoustic guitar, mandolin, double bass, violin, percussion and other instruments, this new recording will bring many hours of uplifting thought. And it’s easy to sing along to!
George and Charles have been very popular performers at Christian Science Youth Summits, so this is a particularly great gift idea for teens.
