Science and Health translations available as ebooks

Ebooks (searchable books on cd-rom to be read on a computer) are now being sold by the Publishing Society for translations of Science and Health and other writings of Mary Baker Eddy. These are available in Spanish/Portuguese, French/Italian, German, Indonesian/Japanese, and Scandinavian languages. Please contact Barbara Minear for more information.

Some wonderful opportunities to serve our Reading Room have just opened up. Please take a look at the calendar (click on the link in the right column) to see days that need to be filled. Note that the calendar is updated through the end of AUGUST only.

Internet settings changed - "public" computer only

The internet settings have been changed on the Reading Room computer that is available to the public. Internet access is now limited to certain Christian Science sites only. There is currently no way for someone to read their email on that computer. This is a trial period for the Reading Room to ensure that the computer is not being used for inappropriate material. Please send your comments and suggestions to Barbara Minear, as the settings are easily adaptable to changing needs. The attendants' computer remains unchanged. Thanks!

NEW !!!

Happy to announce that the latest Bound Volumes have arrived and are on the shelves, ready for your reading pleasure. Also, the large-size Hymnal Supplements are now for sale. They're the same price as the regular-size supplements. Both the Church and the Sunday School have begun using the supplement, so you may want to have your own copy so you can become familiar with it and together we can "sing a new song"!

Tax change as of April 1

As you may know, as of April 1, the sales tax for L.A. is 9.25%. Also, sales tax will now be charged on Sentinels. Beverly Pallady has updated the cash register to reflect these changes. Thank you, Beverly!

Reading Room Open House - April 18th

Wouldn't you like to harness the power of collective prayer? Our Reading Room will join with other Christian Science Reading Rooms around the world as we open our doors in one simultaneous, united, prayer-filled effort.

The world-wide Reading Room Open House is scheduled for April 18th from 1 to 4 pm. If you can help by serving during that time, to greet or direct visitors, bring refreshments, or help with clean up, please contact Barbara Minear.
